Description
I was inspired to paint this after I heard of the endangered wolves of Yellowstone. Decades ago, the wolves in Yellowstone were driven out and hunted to near extinction. This caused the Elk population to grow out of control and they were destroying all of the young Aspen growths.
So ten years ago, the Park Rangers re-introduced about 15 wolves to the Park. They have since flourished, which has kept the Elk population under control and allowed the Aspens to thrive. So the wolves are friends forever to the Aspen trees.
